Aims

The purpose of this module is to learn what is Internet - WWW, and HTML - CSS - JavaScript, understand how to use them and apply basic concepts of HTML to create a simple web page.

Expected outcomes

Upon completion of this module, you should know / should be able to:

Submodule 1.1: Introduction to WEB

    • recognize the functionality of INTERNET and WEB

Submodule 1.2: Introduction  to WEB coding

    • recognize the way in which HTML is used

    • differentiate between  the functionality  of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

    • discover the use of a CODE editor (Brackets)

Submodule 1.3: Simple HTML file 

    • build a simple web page (HTML, head, body tags)

    • apply headings and paragraphs within a page (h1,h2,…, p tags)

    • differentiate between and use 2 types of break (br, wbr tags)

    • apply many types of text formatting strong-bold, em- italics etc.)
