The Seek, Sense, Share model is a framework for personal knowledge management (PKM) that was developed by Harold Jarche. It involves three steps:

  1. Seek: This step involves actively seeking out new knowledge and information that is relevant to your goals and responsibilities. This might involve reading industry publications, attending conferences, or networking with colleagues.

  2. Sense: This step involves making sense of the information you have gathered, by organizing, synthesizing, and integrating it into your existing knowledge. This might involve taking notes, creating summaries, or creating visual diagrams to show the relationships between different ideas.

  3. Share: This step involves sharing the knowledge and insights you have gained with others. This might involve writing blog posts, giving presentations, or participating in online discussions. Sharing your knowledge helps to validate it, and can also help you learn from the feedback and perspectives of others.

To use the Seek, Sense, Share model, start by identifying the knowledge and information you need in order to achieve your goals. Then, actively seek out that knowledge through various channels, such as reading, networking, and attending events. Once you have gathered the knowledge, make sense of it by organizing and synthesizing it, and finally, share it with others in order to validate and expand upon your understanding. This process can be repeated on an ongoing basis in order to continually acquire, organize, and use new knowledge.
